Lodging
The Lorimer Lodge serves as camp headquarters, the main facility for dinner and housing for our younger campers. The nearby Latitudes Lodge houses our older athletes. Coaches and house parents stay at each lodge to provide supervision and adult interaction with the athletes. Suzi, a camp co-director, manages the menu and supervises organization of the households.
Our coaches and house parents hold the athletes to a reasonable curfrew to ensure that they are rested for the next day’s training activities. We pride ourselves in prudent supervision of campers, which distinguishes Freestyle America from other glacier camps.
Meals
Suzi makes sure that the houses are stocked with nutritious food for the athletes to enjoy. Every morning, breakfast is served at each house. Athletes pack lunch daily and bring it up to the glacier along with plenty of fluids to replenish their stores during lunch break. Dinner is served in the Lorimer Lodge dining room for all the campers. Every other night, athletes and coaches eat out in the village at their own expense. This is to take advantage of the fabulous restaurants in Whistler village.
During camp and all year-round, we promote health and well being through sound nutrition and lifestyle choices. We make sure to provide our athletes with a balanced diet, based on whole foods and healthy ingredients.
